I've always loved a man in uniform...

I always thought Derek Jeter was the cutest guy in a baseball uniform...until I saw this little stud!
Steph and Steve had their softball banquet at a Bee's game. Although Alex was not on the team, he definately was the star of the show in his baseball outfit.
It was pretty cool, they fed us on a patio overlooking the ball field, then we went in the stands to watch the rest of the game.
Alex got to take his picture with the Bee, and was luckily not afraid of it like his big sister would've been at this age!

Sisterly Love

I loved these pictures Steph took of she and Alex. Bless her heart, she just adores him, but as you can see from the photos, she has a tendency to annoy him with her adoration, until finally he succumbs because he knows it's a losing battle!

Senior Ball (but only a Sophomore)

Steph went to the Senior Ball last Saturday. (You don't have to be a Senior to go.) Kearns was probably one of the last schools to have their last formal of the year, so needless to say, shopping was a challenge because everyone's selection was pretty picked over. I was mentally prepared to have to shell out a bundle, but miracle of miracles, Steph came across this dress for $32.50. Yahoo! Oh yeah, she had a good time and looked very pretty.

1st Trip to the Zoo

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weekend and take Alex for his first zoo trip.

He was farely unimpressed by the animals at this age, but he loved just being outside and seeing all the people walk by.

The highlight of his day was getting his first taste of a soft serve ice cream cone...yummy!

Alexander, L'Artiste

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. I had to work today, but came home and had dinner and opened gifts with Steve and the kids. Steph helped Alex make a couple special projects, one was a frame with a picture of him on one side and a mold of his feet on the other. The other project was a very messy masterpiece Alex has titled, "Ode to Mama". Steph squirted blobs of paint on canvas and had him crawl around on it, resulting in a very colorful, abstract, modernistic sort of a piece. You all didn't know I had an infant prodigy, did you?

Spring has brought me such a nice surprise...

Blossoms popping right before my eyes! Yay, I think (knock on wood), that spring is finally here! I couldn't resist posting this picture of Alex in front of the blossoms in our yard.

Baby Kisses

Don't you just love baby kisses? The kind where they plant one on you, mouth wide open? The best is when I make such a huge fuss over the kiss, and then he gives me more and more because he knows he'll get such a reaction out of me, topped off by a big hug with his head on my shoulder. I love this age!!
