Time Outs Already?

My sweet little cuddly baby is now a full fledged feisty toddler. He has started hitting already! Usually when big sister is squeezing the life out of him and trying to kiss and cuddle. (When he was a little baby Steph wished he was bigger so he would do more. Now she wishes he were a little baby again!) So the other day Steve put him in time out. Yeah, I know a 14 month old probably doesn't really "get it" but I can't bear slapping his little hands or anything, yet am trying to teach him that's not nice behavior. A raised voice works for a second or two. Anybody have any suggestions?

My Little Sous Chef

I usually have about 3.5 seconds from the time I leave a room until Alex is hot on my heels to see where I am and what I'm doing. Consequently, our kitchen becomes a war zone whenever I'm trying to cook because every pot, pan, utensil or anything that will keep him happy for a few minutes ends up on the floor. The other day I thought it was pretty cute when he took a skillet, spoon and spices and pretended he was cooking.

Sunday Afternoon at the Park

Knowing that winter is lurking around the corner, we're trying to take advantage of the warm weather while it lasts. It was nice to spend some much needed "family time" at the park today.

Alex does not take after his mother, he loves dogs and is not the least bit afraid of them.
I love this shot of Bubbies and Sissy (as I like to call them). Alex looks more and more like Steph every day.
